2017 JEF Links to Schools Golf Tournament
A day of golf translated into some really good things for students in Jordan School District. That's because golfers got out their clubs and raised some big cash that will go directly into classrooms. The Jordan Education Foundation was behind the fund-raising event called 'Links to Schools Golf Classic', held at the Thanksgiving Point golf course. Generous sponsors took a swing at breaking the record for most money raised, and they were successful in raising over $71,000! All of the money will go toward mini-grants and ''The Leader in Me" program in District schools. Thanks to the 140 golfers who came out to support our children and have a lot of fun at the same time. Thousands of dollars in prizes donated by generous area merchants and others were awarded throughout the day. No one went hungry in their quest to conquer each hole, thanks to Sams Club, Dannon, Pepsi Co. and Salsa Leedos who donated lots of fabulous food. No matter what the score, it was a winning day of golf for everyone involved!
