The Souper Bowl of Caring
Star Huntsman • January 1, 2025
The Souper Bowl of Caring empowers youth and unites communities to tackle hunger using the energy of the Big Game. In the weeks leading up to or on Super Bowl Sunday, young people take up a collection (many use a soup pot), asking for one dollar or one item of food for people in need. They give 100% of their donation directly to the local hunger-relief charity of their choice.
Since 1990, young people have been leading the charge and inspiring others to collect dollars and food, changing the nation's largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring. To see how Jordan Education Foundation helps to fight hunger in Jordan District, click here.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community for their generosity on the 9/11 National Day of Service. The many donations received will fill Principal’s Pantries across Jordan School District. These pantries provide food and essentials for students who need a little extra support. Thank you to all those who donated and made a difference for our kids!

What a spectacular evening at the Jordan Education Foundation Awards Recognition Banquet! The brand new Salt Lake Bees Ballpark set the perfect stage for a night filled with joy and celebration. We honored our top fourteen “Outstanding Educators of the Year,” and applauded the exceptional talents of our students who received the “Rising Star Scholarship,” “Teri Timpson Legacy Scholarship,” and “Dr. Patrice Johnson Superintendent Scholarship.” First Lady Abby Cox, our guest speaker, and State Superintendent Dr. Sydnee Dickson, our Master of Ceremonies, made the night extra special. Thank you to the JEF Board of Directors, our community sponsors, and everyone who made this night unforgettable!
